About Involved Psychology
At Involved Psychology, counselling psychologist Marie-Claire McCubbery works with individuals and couples from her Richmond and Heidelberg West clinics, offering a considered approach to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, workplace conflict, and stress or burnout. Clients aged 14 and over are welcome, reflecting her experience as an adolescent psychologist supporting young people through the pressures of school, friendships and family life. Couples counselling forms a core part of the practice too, helping partners work through relationship issues, rebuild communication and reconnect, with sessions shaped around what each couple is actually facing rather than a generic program.
Marie-Claire's therapeutic approach draws on CBT, ACT, Emotional Focus Therapy, mindfulness, Solution-Focused Therapy and psychodynamic therapy, applied flexibly as each client's needs change over time. For added convenience, telehealth appointments and sessions in fluent Spanish are both available, and she brings extensive experience supporting WorkCover, TAC, VOCAT and NDIS clients through what can be a demanding process.
