Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of findpostcode.com.au (the site). By using the site, or by adding a business listing to it, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
What the site is
Find Postcode is a free Australian postcode lookup and local business directory. Postcode and locality information is published as a public reference. Business listings are supplied by the businesses themselves or by members of the public.
Using the site
You may use the site for your own personal or business purposes. You must not:
- copy, scrape or extract the listings or postcode data in bulk, by any automated means, or republish them as a competing directory;
- use contact details from the site to send unsolicited marketing, by email, post, telephone or SMS;
- interfere with the site, attempt to gain access to any part of it you are not authorised to use, or do anything that places an unreasonable load on it;
- use the site for anything unlawful.
Listing a business
If you add or claim a listing, you confirm that the business operates in Australia, that the details you give are accurate, and that you are entitled to submit them on behalf of that business. Listings for businesses outside Australia are removed.
You are responsible for keeping your listing up to date. You can edit it at any time by signing in, or ask us to change or remove it.
Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit. By submitting it you give us permission to publish, store and display it on the site, and to include it in search results and sitemaps, for as long as the listing is published.
Do not submit anything that is false or misleading, infringes the rights of others, impersonates another business, or is offensive or unlawful.
Removing listings
We may edit, suspend or remove any listing, at any time and without notice, if we believe it is inaccurate, misleading, duplicated, abandoned, unlawful, or submitted to advertise something other than a genuine Australian business. We remove listings that impersonate a brand or that exist to publish a fake support or helpline number.
To have your listing removed, contact us and we will action it.
Accuracy
We take reasonable care, but we do not guarantee that postcode data, locality boundaries, distances, map positions or business details are accurate, complete or current. Postcode and locality information is a guide and should not be relied on for addressing mail, for emergency services, or for any decision where being wrong would matter. Check with Australia Post or the business itself.
We do not endorse, vet or take responsibility for any business listed, or for any dealing you have with one.
Availability
We do not promise that the site will always be available or free of faults, and we may change or withdraw any part of it.
Other sites and advertising
The site links to the websites of businesses and carries third-party advertising. Those sites are not ours and we are not responsible for their content, their products, or how they handle your information.
Our liability
Nothing in these terms excludes any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded. Subject to that, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from your dealings with any business listed on it, and our liability is limited to resupplying access to the site.

How we handle personal information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, and continuing to use the site means you accept it.
